2011 - 10 years of portal technology:  Development of 100 specialties

Nearly inexhaustible are the possibilities provided by our portal solutions. By offering this Wiki, we would like to support you to get better acquainted with our products. Therefore, we do not only give you a detailed description on each listed functionality but we also offer possible fields of application for them. Thereby we present the core functions of our solutions in the same way as the modules we have developed for individual requirements. This is because we want you to take the greatest possible advantage of your portal!

Our specialties  are divided into the following fields, namely for functions, modules/portlets and FEP-applications.

The functions  serve to create, edit, publish and manage content within HTML or document format. To these belong direct editing and multi-upload of documents, notifications of updates, the versioning and personalization of contents and much more.

Module / Portlets  are visual application components embedded in portal solutions. They consist of a package of functions and have a specific focus. Examples for this are:

Teamrooms: for project work in protected rooms
Wikis: for the publication of knowledge in a structured form
Discussion forums: for the information exchange between the users
Business-Relation-Ship-Management: for the administration of data on business partners 
 
Modules can be created by authorized persons as many times as they like and at any position.
 
FEP-applications  are individual applications provided once in a portal solution. The respective FEP-application cannot be eliminated from the portal. In fact, it is an integral part of the portal solution by which the portal completely takes over the entire access control and assignment of rights. For each customized solution, FEP-applications have to be newly configured or programmed.

Example:  Workflow, for displaying company-specific business processes. 

A special search within the Wiki and a (multi-) categorization of individual topics serve to quickly retrieve specific information.
