For the seventh time in a row, our comany has reached the Jury level as part of the competition for the „Grand Prize for SMEs“ carried out by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation. 758 of the 5399 nominated companies made it to the list.
Around 50 entrepreneurs from the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region and the Karlsruhe Technology Region met in Mannheim for an award ceremony at the host LIEBLANG. Our chief executive Saeid Fasihi received the certificate from Gertrud Hilser and Josef Stumpf from br business relations GmbH, the official service point of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation.
By July, the winners and finalists of the competition will be selected from the companies which have reached the jury level by the jurors of the twelve regional juries and the two special juries. The award ceremony itself takes place in September and October.
In 2014, our company was awarded the Grand Prize for SMEs, thus making it one of the top companies in Germany and number one in Rhineland-Palatinate. In 2016, we received the Badge of Honour in the nationwide competition. As a result, we belonged to the Top 25 medium-sized enterprises among the 4791 ones nominated from all over Germany.
Roman Großmann, executive partner of the Lieblang Group, described his entrepreneurial activities and above all his experiences and measures to successfully manage a medium-sized company under the aspect of leadership and employer attractiveness.
Thereafter, Petra Kruppenbacher presented her field of activity as head of consultancy of the employee support programme "MUP", „MUP“-Mitarbeiterunterstützungsprogramm , a registered society which belongs to the association of the Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar. The new MUP gives employees the opportunity to anonymously contact a service number in the event of personal problems of any kind. This allows problems to be addressed and solutions to be found that would otherwise have a greater negative impact.
Impulse from regional entrepreneurs
There were impulses from three entrepreneurs from the region. among these entrepreneurs were Andreas Hänssler, executive partner of HÄNSSLER Kunststoff- und Dichtungstechnik GmbH (plastics and sealings technology), Peter Jöst, executive partner of Jöst Abrasives GmbH, and Wilhelmina Katzschmann, executive partner of IGB Ingenieurbüro Katzschmann (consulting engineers). In the panel discussion, all three of them reported on their entrepreneurial life and their experiences with the competition "Grand Prize for SMEs". The five topics covered in the application would help to drive the own company forward, since they would have to deal actively and above all intensively with the strategy and public image regarding their company.
The highlight of the event was the handing over of the certificates to more than 20 company representatives who had reached the jury level. After the award, all participants got together and exchanged ideas with the help of excellent food from home-made catering.
